Chain Oil: RPL-A1226

Product Description:

The RPL-A1226 is a semi-synthetic chain oil suitable for high temperature and high load applications. It is fortified with a special blend of fluids resulting in a viscous film of lubrication to protect against wear and corrosion. It contains special additives to reduce the coefficient of friction while ensuring high load capabilities and reducer wear on moving parts.

RPL-A1226 has no solid lubricants and is characterized by low carbon build-up while maintaining that chain components remain clear and free of sludge.  It provides a tough outer barrier that prevents dirt and other contaminants from penetrating the inner workings of chain drives.   It can be applied by manual or automatic systems.

RPL-A1226 is especially recommended for the textile industry and for use specifically on tenter chains where temperatures exceed 175°C (350°F) and where heavy duty load conditions exist such as chain contact points along guides as fabric is stretched. Other suitable applications include high load and high temperature chain drives, textile and packaging equipment, and a wide range of plain, anti-friction and rolling contact bearings.

Did you know?

The majority of chains fail from the inside. They stretch or kink due to wear and corrosion inside the pin and bushing area.

To lubricate effectively, chain oils must be carefully engineered to penetrate and clean the inside of the chain,  removing contaminants and any trapped water, and leaving behind a heavy film of oil, grease or solid lubricant..
