Multi-Purpose Oil: RPL-2280

Product Description:

RPL-2280 is blended using a highly refined and premium quality paraffinic oil which provides superior lubrication.  It has a highly viscous base oil suitable for a wide variety of equipment and applications. The viscous base oil provides a  "cushioning" effect and is especially qualified for heavy duty and shock load applications.

RPL2280 is highly resistant to oxidation and has a low pour-point.  It has a complete anti-corrosion, anti-wear formulation that will provide effective lubrication protection against water contamination.  In addition, it has high aniline points which indicate relatively low solvency power. It may be used in a range of low temperature applications.

RPL-2280 provides low saturation required for Butyl and EP polymers and for many other chemical applications including textiles, caulking and sealant compounds. It has excellent heat resistance characteristics and will resist color degradation by ultraviolet light.  It has a higher flash point and much lower volatility than comparable naphthenic or aromatic grades. It imparts desirable low temperature properties to rubber compounds.

Typical applications include gearboxes, chains and a variety of multi-purpose uses.

Method of Application:

No special handling precautions are required.  Follow regular maintenance instructions as provided with original equipment.  It is recommended to thoroughly drain and clean systems prior to switching over.
