High Temperature Anti-Seize Grease: RPL-AA2000

Product Description:

RPL-AA2000 anti-seize grease is manufactured using a blend of high viscosity, hydro-treated, high viscosity index paraffin base oil and an aluminum complex thickener which provides an extreme high temperature range up to 1000°C (2000°F).

RPL-AA2000 consists of finely divided soft metals and solid lubricants in a paste-like form that prevents metal-to-metal contact under loads up to 200,000 lbs per square inch and provides superior protection for the assembly of parts, bolts, screws and threads. It protects against rust and corrosion, galling, fretting, galvanic pitting and seizure.

RPL-AA2000 is especially effective as an anti-seize compound for easy removal of bolts, nuts, threads, fittings and gaskets subjected to extreme loads and temperatures. When disassembly is necessary, the high percentage of solid metal particles provides low breakaway torques for easy removal. This product is extremely adhesive and provides even, smooth application while sealing out water and chemicals. It is suitable for temperatures ranging from -40°C (-40°F) to 1000°C (2000°F).
 

Typical Applications Include:

•  Industrial plants: threaded connections, bearings, bolts, nuts, bushings, adjusting screws, press fits, gaskets, fittings, flanges, parts assembly, cams, linkage systems, boiler hinges, shaft keyways, valve stems, and guide bushings.

• Steel mills and foundries: slide gates, moving parts, bearings and mating surfaces.

• Chemical plants and oil refineries: all threaded connections, flange studs, compressor heads, autoclaves, and valves.

• Power plants: threaded assemblies, exhaust manifold studs, and steam lines.

• Aircraft applications: all studs and bolts under high temperatures.

• Metalworking: press fitting of dies, severe cold extrusion and forming applications requiring a heavy pigment lubricant.

• Marine: bolts and studs for pumps, steam lines, valves, and threads used on offshore drilling rigs.

• Trucks, tractors and automotive applications: spring U-bolts, torque rods, sliding door tracks, sliding parts of garbage trucks, spark plug threads, brake cams, pins and farm equipment.

• Other uses include: lathe centers, plug valves, bushings, pipe and screw threads, die set leader pins, tappings, gears, over damper controls, heat treat ovens, furnaces, kiln ovens and casters.
