Water Resistant Grease: RPL-WRG

Product Description:

RPL-WRG is a general and multi-purpose water resistant grease that is very similar in formulation to RPL-Ocean7, but it also contains an adhesive additive for increased rust and corrosion protection under extreme washout conditions. It is manufactured using a highly refined and hydro-treated paraffin base oil thickened with aluminum complex. It has a high viscosity index and a high dropping point, is ash-less, non-corrosive and has good oxidation stability.

RPL-WRG is waterproof. It repels water and acts as seal for bearings exposed to wet conditions. It is impervious to water, hot water and steam. As it approaches the top end of its operating temperature range, it will soften but does not separate and will reconstitute to its original consistency once it cools down. It will not washout or bleed when subjected to boiling temperatures or mild acids and alkalis. It is also pumpable, even at low temperatures.

This particular grease is ideally suited for all types of anti-friction bearings subjected to extreme washout conditions. It is also suitable for applications include gears, cams, slides, textile machinery, dairy and bottling equipment, marine equipment, boat trailers and pumps.

Did you know?

Most greases will offer at least some basic degree of water protection.

However, it takes a careful combination of base fluids and additives to formulate a product that not only will protect an application, but also provide continuous and effective lubrication under constant  exposure without breaking down.
